Waiver & Release of Liability

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. I understand that participation in martial arts activities at The Martial Club, including but not limited to Muay Thai, Dutch kickboxing, sparring, drills, pad work, conditioning, grappling exchanges, and physical contact with other participants, involves inherent risks of injury. These risks include, but are not limited to, cuts, bruises, sprains, broken bones, concussion, permanent disability, paralysis, and death.
2. I voluntarily choose to participate despite these risks and assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur.
3. I certify that I am physically capable of participating and do not have any medical condition that would make participation unsafe.
4. I agree to immediately notify a coach or staff member if I experience pain, dizziness, injury, illness, or any medical concern during participation.
5. I agree to follow all instructions given by coaches and staff. I understand that unsafe behavior, excessive aggression, refusal to follow instructions, or disrespectful conduct may result in immediate removal from participation.
6. I understand that martial arts training may involve controlled sparring and physical contact and that accidental injury may occur despite supervision and safety precautions.
7. I release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless The Martial Club, its owners, coaches, employees, volunteers, members, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation at The Martial Club, including claims arising from negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. I authorize emergency medical treatment if necessary and understand that I am financially responsible for any resulting medical expenses.
9. I understand that photos or videos may occasionally be taken during classes or events for promotional or social media purposes unless I notify The Martial Club otherwise in writing.
10. I understand that The Martial Club is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
11. I understand that this agreement applies to all trial classes, guest visits, open mats, sparring sessions, and any temporary or introductory participation at The Martial Club.
12. I understand that by electronically signing this agreement, my electronic signature is legally binding and carries the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
13. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, and any legal action arising from participation at The Martial Club shall be brought in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS WAIVER AND AGREE TO ITS TERMS VOLUNTARILY.
